Have you started your official countdown? We are now less than two weeks out from Etail West. That means in 12 short days more than a thousand retailers will be making their way to bright and sunny Palm Desert, California for a break from winter and the opportunity to learn about the latest in ecommerce and multichannel retail.
With four packed days of content, it can be tough to narrow down your list of must-dos. With that in mind, we thought we’d share a few of the sessions that we’re most excited about taking in this year.
eTail West Can’t Miss Session #1:
Creating Seamless CX: Leveraging Data and Technology to Bridge the Physical and Digital Divide
Dominique Essig, Chief Experience Officer, Bonobos
2/27 at 9:20 am
It’s no secret that omnichannel has been heating up for quite some time. As many retailers look to bridge the gap that exists between digital and in-store sales, executives care less and less about which channel will get credit and more about the holistic omnichannel customer journey.
Bonobos took a unique approach to the retail game by opening its doors as an online-only retailer, and then later opening brick and mortar stores–from clicks to bricks. We look forward to hearing more about how Chief Experience Officer, Dominique Essig, helped Bonobos approach this transition from a CX standpoint.
eTail West Can’t Miss Session #2:
The Benefits of a Service-Focused Mobile Experience
Tumara Jackson, VP Marketing, Purchasing Power
2/27 at 2:45 pm
Purchasing Power’s Tumara Jackson seems to share a similar sentiment as our co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Ryan Garner: Responsive design may not be the panacea we originally thought.
With mobile as an ever-increasing source of traffic, digital executives have a big decision to make when it comes to responsive, mobile or app. We look forward to hearing Jackson’s thought process, which ultimately landed her company, Purchasing Power, #103 in the Internet Retailer 2017 Mobile 500.
eTail West Can’t Miss Session #3:
Revolution: Focusing on Usability Testing to Enhance Your Site Experience
Ross Higgins, Director of UX and Design, Newegg | Haley Nemann, Director of Digital Experience, Crocs | Adam Sant, Senior Director of Experience Design, Dollar Shave Club
2/27 at 3:40 pm
Our recent survey of 150 ecomm execs revealed an astounding statistic: 85% of retailers don’t have a process to inform and approve UX designs with data.
Clearhead deeply believes in the importance of validating site changes and decisions with evidence. When we work with our clients, we gather these signals from a number of sources: analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, on-site polls, customer surveys, stakeholder interviews and–of course–user testing.
We’re thrilled to learn more about how companies like Newegg, Crocs and Dollar Shave Club are incorporating usability testing into their day-to-day digital processes to ultimately create better customer experiences.
eTail West Can’t Miss Session #4:
Here’s What eCommerce Will Look Like In The Future
Michael Hughes, CEO, PlushBeds | Stephanie Messiter, VP of Marketing, Revolve Clothing | Amy Labroo, Director Digital Marketing, Virgin America
2/28 at 2:30 pm
From chatbots and virtual assistants to AR and VR to RFID and drone delivery, we love talking about the future of ecommerce. So much, in fact, that we’re even hosting a meetup at SXSW titled The Future of Ecommerce (pssttt…you should join us if you’ll be attending SXSW).
Ecommerce–and the technology that supports it–is seemingly changing by the second. This panel should offer unique insights on what the future will bring for all of us.
eTail West Can’t Miss Session #5:
The Digital Revolution Is A Culture Evolution
Bruce Valk, President, Silver Star Brands | Neeraj Tolmare, Vice President and Head of Digital Transformation & Global eCommerce, HP | Andrea Moore, SVP Digital and eCommerce, Alex + Ani | John Tabis, Founder and CEO, The Bouqs Co. | Katherine Rizutto, VP, Oracle Data Cloud Oracle
3/1 at 8:40 am
Clearhead opened its doors as an agency focused on UX and optimization with the goal of helping brands and retailers provide their customers with better digital experiences through data. As former ecommerce executives, our founders are no strangers to the fact that digital transformation is no easy task. But what they hadn’t originally realized was how universal this struggle is–something all of our clients wrestle with to varying degrees.
It’s this realization that led us to evolve into an agency and a consultancy. We now help our clients align the people, process, technology and analytics necessary to become a digitally mature organization through our Optimization Accelerator. We’re looking forward to hearing how execs from brands like Alex + Ani, The Bouqs Co. and HP approach the (often arduous) process of digital transformation.
This is just a small sampling of the many great sessions that will be taking place February 27-March 2 at in Palm Desert. Are you heading to Etail? Let’s get together!
